Meet Our Founder: A Certified Educator

Math Wizdom is led by Susan Ardila, a distinguished certified educator. Susan holds certification as an EC-6 generalist and is also certified to teach math in grades 4-8. Armed with a Bachelor of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Math Education K-12, Susan brings a wealth of academic knowledge and extensive classroom experience to our organization. Her educational journey has been marked not only by academic excellence but also by a profound dedication to shaping the young minds she encounters.

Tutoring Beyond Grade Levels

In addition to our core services, we proudly offer tutoring for college students, particularly those enrolled in teacher preparation programs. Susan's expertise extends beyond K-12 education and includes college-level math courses as well as courses within teacher preparation programs, with a focus on elementary and secondary education. Whether you're a college student seeking guidance or a future teacher honing your skills, Susan is here to support your educational journey.

Inclusive Learning

Math Wizdom is deeply committed to inclusive education. Our experience encompasses working with students who face diverse learning challenges. Susan's graduate thesis, in fact, focused on creating accommodating environments for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder within general mathematics classrooms. Since grad school, Ms. Susan has worked with students from all different backgrounds and all with different needs.  Some students she has worked with have had Auditory Processing Disorders, Language Processing Disorders, ADHD, Dylexia and other learning differences.  Because of her work as an educational therapy clinican, she definitley takes a holistic approach to her sessions, even working on executive functioning skills for those who would benefit from it.  We firmly believe that every child deserves access to quality education, and our commitment is to make this a reality.
