A Passion for Teaching

Meet Susan Ardila, a dedicated educator with a profound passion for teaching and empowering students. Susan's journey began in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2011, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies. During her time at Texas A&M, Susan also held the prestigious position of Vice President of Kappa Delta Pi, an honor society for educators. Her commitment to education was evident even then, and she was on the path to becoming a certified EC-6 Generalist, with an additional focus on Mathematics.

Teaching Excellence

In 2012, Susan embarked on her teaching career, specializing in science and social studies. Her innovative and student-centered teaching methods quickly earned her a stellar reputation as an educator who goes above and beyond for her students.

Academic Achievement

Susan's dedication to academic excellence continued to shine, culminating in 2015 when she achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA. She earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Math Education K-12 concentration from The University of Texas. Her commitment to advanced education and her deep understanding of mathematics education set her apart as a top-tier educator.

Leadership & Curriculum Development

Throughout her teaching career, Susan embraced leadership roles, serving as a mentor teacher to university students during their student teaching experiences. She also made a significant impact by crafting an entire math curriculum for a 6th-grade department, showcasing her dedication to enhancing math education.

Individualized Learning

Today, Susan's focus is on private and small-group tutoring at Math Wizdom. She tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her students, whether they require assistance in advanced math, ELAR, advanced physics or test preparation. Her commitment to personalized learning extends to her graduate thesis, which centered on accommodating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in general mathematics classrooms.
